Katharine “Katie” A.P. DeLong passed away on Oct. 26, 2013, at Pine Ridge in Pagosa Springs at the age of 86.
She was predeceased by her husband, Alfred A. DeLong. She is survived by daughters Renee D. Gampon of Koloa, Hawaii, Claudia D. Pope (Edward) of Silverton, Colo., Jane D. Schur (Rick) of Pagosa Springs, Colo.; by six grandchildren: Dario Gampon, Austin Pope, Forrest Pope, Rachel Schur-Wagner, Emilie Schur and Betsy Schur, and seven great-grandchildren. A memorial service and celebration of life will be held at the First Congregational Church in Grand Junction, Colo., on Thursday Nov. 7, at 10 a.m.
