Bob Albers passed away on Saturday, Feb. 26, with his best friend and wife of 58 years, Randy, by his side. He was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer in 1999 and died peacefully at home, his 23-year battle with cancer finally over. Bob’s years in Pagosa Springs were probably his favorite. He was a master fly-fisherman and a part-time cowboy. He loved outdoor sports, peaceful small town living, their home (until a few years ago) in Loma Linda, his many friends, and his church, Pope John Paul II Catholic Church. Bob is survived by Randy, his wife of 58 years; his children, Bob (Nui), Glenn (Lisa) and Cindy (Brent) and four grandchildren.
